BlueElite is a Medicare Supplement plan filling the gaps of Original Medicare. With Medicare Part A and Part B alone, beneficiaries are required to pay deductibles and coinsurance for Medicare-covered services. BlueElite is designed to pay for these costs that would ordinarily be paid out of the beneficiary’s own pocket. The actual costs and services covered by BlueElite will depend on which plan is chosen. There are five plans from which to choose. A beneficiary must purchase a separate prescription drug plan to obtain Medicare Part D Prescription Drug coverage. In order to market and receive commission on the BlueElite product, agents must submit the Medicare Supplement Products Agency Agreement. There are Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans with multiple benefit and premium options. Our PPO plans include a prescription drug benefit making it unnecessary to carry a stand-alone Part D plan.
